Scott is Co-Owner and CEO of Allied Video Productions. Scott joined the company in 1990 as an unpaid intern while attending college. After receiving degrees in Television Production from Mount Hood Community College and Speech Communications from OSU, he joined the staff full time. Since coming on board, Scott has emphasized work in events, public relations, education and dramatic work. His work spans everything from commercials to music festivals, and work for network television. His clients include Travel Oregon, Oregon Wine Board, Salem Leadership Foundation, Salem-Keizer Education Foundation, Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Basic Rights Oregon, Boys and Girls Club, United Way, Oregon Judicial Department, Liberty House, City of Salem, Salem Film Festival, Oregon Banker's Association, Oregon Hospital, C-SPAN, and many others.
Jeff joined the staff at Allied Video Productions in 1997 and became a Co-Owner and COO in October 2002. Before that, Jeff served as a producer and production supervisor at Salem TCI/Viacom over an eight-year period. In addition to managing the local production department for TCI, he produced television ads, infomercials, and documentaries. Jeff has a degree in Zoology from the University of Texas as well as film and video production training from the Northwest Film Center in Portland. His work includes a diverse selection of projects; from hundreds of TV commercials to informational videos; from documentaries to music videos. Jeff's clients include Family Building Blocks, YWCA, Catholic Community Services, Stand for Children, TecLabs, the Statesman Journal, and countless small businesses. Jeff has traveled extensively in Latin America and has excellent conversational skills in Spanish.
Dan joined the Allied Video team in 1999, becoming a Co-Owner and CFO in October 2002. Before working for AVP, Dan was the lead programmer for Interactive Design Associates, a company that produced computer based training. Combined with his artistic skills, Dan is able to create dynamic visual presentations of complex information and materials. His work includes local and national commercials, promotional videos for air and web and informational videos. Dan has a hand in most productions due to his extended knowledge in motion graphics, visual effects, compositing, color correction and DVD authoring. Dan has attended Liberty University, Chemeketa Community College and Portland State University. His clients include Agri-Business Council of Oregon, Autodesk, Astley Consulting Group, BAM Agency, Barney and Worth, Capitol Auto Group, Main Street Software, Opus Creative, Pac/West, Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Willamette Valley Hospice and many others. When Dan is not at the office, he can typically be found on a golf course or spending time with his wife, Jill and their 2 dogs, Duncan and Dexter.
Brian joined Allied Video Productions in the summer of 2006. With over 13 years of experience, Brian learned his craft by purchasing a camera and shooting everything he could, learning production by a hands-on approach. Brian can work on all aspects of a production and enjoys pushing the limits of his artistic and graphic ability. Some of his clients include the Willamette Valley Rehabilitation Center, ODA, OCAPA, Stand for Children, Red Cross and the Salem Chamber of Commerce to name just a few. Brian is an active member of the Salem community; he currently serves on the board of the Salem Progressive Film Series. He also co-founded, be, LLC, which was responsible for bringing the first "Before I Die" wall to Oregon and co-organized TEDxSalem, Salem's first TEDx event. Brian was also honored with the award of "The Original"; Statesman Journal's "20 under 40" in 2011.
BrAd joined Allied Video Productions in April of 2013, bringing with him almost 20 years of experience in the industry. He describes his job as such: herd cats (Producer), shoot them (Director of Photography), and then arrange them in a pleasing manner (Editor). BrAd began his career in Texas, working in live television, feature & commercial film production and everything in between. Most recently, he was working in Eastern Washington, producing marketing, training, corporate and commercial video projects for local, regional and national clients. His clients at AVP have included the YWCA and the Salem Chamber of Commerce, with many more to come!
Garrett joined the producer staff at AVP in June 2014 and he is thrilled to work at Allied developing new ways to capture imaginative and innovative images by taking to the sky with aerial cinematography using drones, incorporating motion control systems and delving into underwater videography. "Gar" is a storyteller at heart who has found a fulfilling passion in giving other’s untold experiences a voice and legacy through the lens of a camera. Educated and experienced in both the art and world of narrative and documentary filmmaking, Gar received degrees in Video Production and Anthropology from Pacific University. Recently, he has worked for a number of production studios around the Northwest doing commercial, documentary and motion picture production fulfilling roles in all forms and stages of production. His clients have included The Travel Channel, Disney, LG, CSPAN, The Sundance Institute, Cambodian Community of Oregon, JeldWen, Kaiser Permanente, Pendleton, Mascot Wear, Safety in Motion, Salesforce, Amnesty International, The US State Department and more.
Brenda joined the team in 2007, filling the shoes of an office manager who had been with AVP for 16 years. Brenda manages accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as payroll and the rest of our bookwork. In addition, Brenda manages our database of more than 25 years worth of videotape and disc storage – essential to our workflow. Brenda also assists in reception and duplication duties as needed.
Sara is the newest member of the Allied Video family, joining the team in July of 2014 as our Administrative Assistant. She provides a friendly face and voice for all of AVP’s clients. With a degree in Environmental Studies, she plans to use her background to continue to implement and improve the green initiatives at AVP. Additionally, she assists in reception, duplication, disc label design and printing, scanning and other various tasks around the studio and in the field. She has always respected cinema’s ability to draw out emotion and intellectual thought from the viewer. Away from work, Sara has a passion for teaching and encouraging children to connect with the natural world. Recently she rode her bicycle across the northern United States and down the east coast for charity. She also enjoys a plethora of outdoor activities including gardening, yoga and world travel.
Every year, Dave oversees hundreds of events at the Salem Convention Center in his roles as Manager of our dedicated AV Technicians. In addition to his role at SCC, he works various roles in field production, post production and live events. He graduated with degrees in Television Production from Mount Hood Community College and Speech Communication from Oregon State University. Before joining AVP as a regular employee in 2007, Dave freelanced for the company for almost fifteen years. During this time he also worked for various cable networks and other independent productions. When not at work he has numerous hobbies, from Morris dancing to archeology.
Mitchell joined the AVP team in September of 2014. He received his BA in Environmental and Earth Sciences from Willamette University with focuses in Paleoclimatology and Urban Environmental Planning. Prior to joining AVP, he worked in various capacities as an information technology and audiovisual technician, a museum docent, and a records information manager. He brings experience from the arts and education sectors, with prior employment including Willamette University and the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco. He has a special passion for the technical and logistic aspects of event production and strives to utilize the newest technological developments and techniques to improve the quality of every event. In his spare time he enjoys writing, movie and game critique, game design, voice acting, and various vocal and instrumental pursuits.
Julia joined the Allied Video Productions team in January of 2015. She attended Portland State University where she received a degree in Anthropology (focus in Archaeology) and a minor in Film Studies. Portland State also allowed her hands on training as an AV Student Tech for two years, where she learned the techniques of setting up audio and video for presentations, both large and small. Julia enjoys learning about all the elements that go into creating a successful event and loves to help the team. She hopes to keep increasing her knowledge in all fields of study and is very excited to work with people from many different walks of life.
